at the end of time (working title)
‘at the end of time’ is a sculptural live performance that investigates thresholds and in-between spaces. Through the lens of the artists’ lived experiences of grief and chronic illness, the work explores themes of care, tenderness, illness and mortality, with focus on the spaces and materials that accompany these processes. Performers and audience encounter porous and transitory objects, tense muscle memories of rest and restlessness, and fragile boundaries between visibility and erasure.
Durational movement scores shaped by stillness and collapse accompany a combination of movement, live sound, video projection, and sculpture. The performance will challenge audiences to be slow, to embrace tension, and to consider the body as a site of care. Sculpted by cycles of fatigue and hospitalization, ‘at the end of time’ explores these transitional spaces and questions the systems that exploit sickness, death, pain and care.
