In Wonder
In Wonder is an original dance film exploring different forms of natural light phenomena by Embrace: Performance.
The film will premiere on April 25th, 2026. The in-person screening and dance party will take place 6:30pm – 8:00pm at Fairfield Gonzales Community Association in the Garry Oaks Room (1341 Thurlow Rd). The film will stream digitally the week of April 25th to May 1st, 2026.

Flight Patterns
Flight Patterns is a research project by Impulse Theatre in-development since 2023. In May, Amber Downie-Back and Andrew Barrett returned to the Island Raptor Sanctuary and spent time with two bald eagles. Later, Véronique Emmett and Amber collaborated on their own outdoor creations centred around the themes of Flight Patterns culminating in at pop-up performance at Clover Point.

The PIDC Project: Final Dissemination
Through each phase of the project, artists collaborated in three groups around the central themes. Dissemination One: Emergence culminated in three pop-up events February 24-26, 2023. In the summer of 2023, the PIDC project presented Dissemination Two: Blossoming Pixels & Nesting Instant at Flux Media Gallery. The third presentation of work from the Physical Intersections was presented at the Victoria Arts Council's Pat Martin Bates Gallery (November 5-26).

Chrystal Dance Prize-Projects Winner (2022/23)
Dance Victoria announces the 2022/23 recipients of the Chrystal Dance Prize-Projects, committing $47,000 in commissioning support for international dance collaborations. The prize is generated from a bequest made by Dance Victoria patron, Dr. Betty “Chrystal” Kleiman, to the Victoria Foundation and supports exceptional dance research and/or creation between a Western Canadian dance artist, collective or company and an international dance artist (interpreter or choreographer).
